Senator Pearse Doherty has commended the Lifford community for turning up in their thousands at Sunday's Rally to Save Lifford Hospital. Letterkenny Sinn Fein Councillor Gerry Mc Monagle has sharply criticised the Government's inaction on job creation for Donegal after the latest figures released from the Central Statistics Office showed that unemployment in the county is still rising with almost 21,000 unemployed, 2,638 more than was employed this time last year.
