Donegal affected in latest Bus Éireann cuts - Doherty

Donegal Senator Pearse Doherty has hit out at Bus Éireann's plans to cut back on some 22 routes across the state and discontinue 8. The Senator expressed concern that one of the routes in this first round of cuts is the Ballybofey/Letterkenny/Strabane route. Read full article

Donegal Senator Pearse Doherty has accused the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan of neglecting her own constituency. Senator Doherty has called on the Tánaiste to get real about unemployment in Donegal and implement a strategy for job creation. Doherty made his comments after the Tánaiste outlined to Sinn Féin in the Dáil that she through the IDA has not hosted a single itinerary for potential investors in Donegal South West though out the whole of 2009.
