Donegal GAA player, Kevin Cassidy, formally proposed the electoral nomination of Cllr Pearse Doherty for the Donegal South West constituency at Letterkenny Courthouse on Tuesday, May 8.

On behalf of Donegal Sinn Féin, Cllr Pearse Doherty issued the following statement this afternoon: "Sinn Féin is delighted that a number of Donegal GAA county players are actively canvassing on our behalf - in Donegal North East for Pádraig Mac Lochlainn, and in Donegal South West for myself.
