Sinn Féin will hold a protest outside the offices of James Adams Auctioneers on St. Stephens Green this morning at 11am to oppose the sale of important historical documents from 1916 and the Tan War. Sinn Féin Ard Chomhairle member Councillor Pearse Doherty will be available to talk to the media. Mr. Doherty said "important historical document should be the property of all the people of Ireland and not sold off to the highest bidder." Read full article

Sinn Féin candidate for Donegal North East, Cllr Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has welcomed Fianna Fáil's acknowledgement of the need to reform the taxation system. Responding to the launch of Fianna Fáil's economic policy document in which that party admits there is inequity in the taxation system, Cllr Mac Lochlainn said Sinn Féin in Government would immediately lower the tax burden on low and average income earners and remove unfair tax advantages for the wealthy. Those attending the launch included Pat Doherty MLA, SF Vice-President and West Tyrone MP, Bairbre de Brun MEP, and Martina Anderson MLA. The party's Derry City Council leader, Cllr Maeve McLaughlin, was also present for the launch, which was chaired by Donegal South West representative, Cllr Pearse Doherty, and addressed by Donegal North East representative, Cllr Padraig Mac Lochlainn.
