After been contacted by residents in Ramelton asking why street lighting was on 24 hours a day the Sinn Féin Representative for the Milford Electoral Donal Cullen contacted the E.S.B in Sligo seeking clarity on why the street lighting on the stretch of road from the Catholic Church to the end of the new development is on 24 hours a day and who is paying for this. Sinn Féin Cllr Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has today said that Deputy Cecilia Keaveney has serious questions to answer over the Moville sewerage scheme debacle. He has also accused Deputy Keaveney of "gross hypocrisy" over her stance on the issue. Read full article

Sinn Fein County councillor and general election candidate, Pearse Doherty has called on Donegal County Council to step back from entering the "Race to the Bottom". Cllr Doherty has proposed a motion to be debated at next Monday's county council meeting (25th) calling on the twenty nine elected members of Donegal County Council to register their dissatisfaction with the current situation that temporary road workers have found themselves in, where overtime rates are not being paid to them for the overtime that they are working. Sinn Fein Cllr Gerry Mc Monagle has welcomed the recent initiative by the Department of Justice in relation to its amnesty for people to hand in illegal firearms and knives and other items that can be considered dangerous and offensive and could cause serious injury or death. He had called for such a measure following the recent stabbing incidents in Letterkenny. Read full article

Speaking at Monday nights Letterkenny Town Council meeting, Sinn Fein Cllr Gerry Mc Monagle called on the council to do something about the increase in parking in many of the residential areas around the town, which is leading to an increased inconvenience for the residents. Read full article
