Sinn Fein Cllr Thomas Pringle has today called on the people of Donegal to say no to incineration in the review of the county's waste management plan. The draft of the new county plan is due to be published in May and will be available for public submissions for eight weeks. Read full article

Sinn Féin Donegal County Councillor Pádraig MacLochlainn has demanded that Senator Joe McHugh issue an immediate apology to communities in East Inishowen and Lifford over his attack on two public meetings organised to give local people a voice against anti social and criminal behaviour in their communities. Sinn Féin Cllr Tony McDaid will chair a public meeting next Tuesday night in Lifford with regard to the inadequate response from Gardaí to the apparent rise in crime and anti-social behaviour over the last number of months. Speaking prior to the meeting Cllr McDaid said this was an opportunity for the public to make a positive contribution for developing a community safety strategy. Read full article

Donegal Sinn Fein county councillor Pearse Doherty has called for the suspension of the Frontier Exploration Licences applications off the coast of Donegal. Councillor Doherty has demanded an immediate review of the present terms and conditions that apply to these offshore oil and gas exploration licences. Read full article
