Residents fury at Meadowbank graffiti - McMonagle
Letterkenny Sinn Féin councillor Gerry McMonagle has called on whoever is responsible for spraying graffiti at a number of locations in the Meadowbank area to think of their local community and stop at once.
Cllr McMonagle said;
"Someone has taken it upon themselves to spray graffiti at a number of locations in Meadowbank. I have spoken to a number of residents, many of whom will have to repaint their walls and fences, who are furious at what has happened.
"I am also concerned that this graffiti has appeared during the Tidy Towns competition. A lot of hard work has been done by so many people in Letterkenny in our bid to become Ireland's tidiest town. It is disappointing that these selfish individuals would try to counter that work.
"Those responsible need to think of their local community and stop at once. I would also call on anyone with any information on this incident to contact the Gardaí so we can bring an end to this anti-social behaviour."
