Rosses Martyrs Commemoration 2009

The Rosses Martyrs Commemoration takes place on Sunday 3rd May.

The Rosses Martyrs are four IRA volunteers who died between 1921 and 1924 - Mary McBride, Owen Boyle, Comdt. Neil 'Plunkett' Boyle, and Capt. Con 'Beezer' Boyle.

Bands in attendance at the commemoration include for the first time the Mairtírigh Thír Chonaill Buíon Fliúite Poblachtánach. This band was formed at the turn of the year and this is their first year of participating at such events. With members from all across County Donegal and all age groups the band is still looking for new members regardless of experiance as tuition provided along with all instruments and uniforms.
